This role requires the use of your own vehicle for client visits, with reimbursement for kilometres traveled and detailed record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered domestic support, respecting each client's preferences, autonomy, and dignity.

  • Assist with daily household tasks, including cleaning, organising, meal preparation, laundry, and light home maintenance.

  • Encourage independence by implementing individualised support plans and allowing clients to participate in activities as desired.

  • Build trusting relationships with clients and their families, fostering open communication and collaboration.

  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' home environment or personal needs to the appropriate staff, ensuring timely support.

  • Maintain accurate records of services provided

  • Collaborate with care team members to ensure holistic and coordinated support for clients.

  • Safely transport clients to appointments, outings, or activities using your own vehicle, adhering to road safety regulations and organisational policies.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, services provided, and kilometres travelled for reimbursement purposes, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and confidentiality requirements.

  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge, skills, and effectiveness in delivering care.

  • Collaborate with other care team members, including nurses, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
